Energizing Chocolate Apple Banana Breakfast Cake/Bars
Always all organic
2 Bananas
1 cooked boiled apple with about 6 cloves see below
1 large egg1/4 cup of Cultured Ghee or coconut oil
1/4-1/2 cup of maple or date syrup and/or date paste or date sugar from the Date Lady
1/2 to 1 cup of almond flour
1/2 Cacao Bliss
1/2 tsp of baking powder
1/2 tsp of baking soda
1 cup of 100% Raw Dark Chocolate, break into small pieces (I use ORA Cacao raw dark chocolate). If using 100% add more maple syrup to sweeten up.
and add some more for topping
In a blender or cake mixer add soft ingredients first and then the powders. Poor in a greased baking pan (about 9”x9”) with Cultured Ghee and sprinkle raw cacao nibs on top or grind the dark chocolate
Cook at 350°F 20+ minutes, until toothpick comes out almost clean
Cooked boiled apple
Serves 1 Prep: 1 minute Cook: 10 minutes Gluten free, Dairy free. 1⁄2 cup water, about 6 whole cloves, 1 apple cut in small pieces, preferably a sweeter variety such as Golden Delicious, Gala, Fuji, Opal, or PinkLady
1. Start boiling the water and cloves in a small saucepan. In the meantime, peel, core, and chop the apple into bite-size pieces.
2. Add the apple pieces to the hot water, bring to a boil, reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the apple is soft and translucent.
3. Drain & you can reserve the liquid if you like. You may drink the cooking liquid as tea, add it to your oatmeal, or simply discard it
